How can I get pre-approved for a mortgage?
More often than not, sellers will want to see a mortgage pre-approval to determine if someone is a serious buyer. In order to get pre-approved, you will have to fill out a mortgage application which entails eight main sections. It will ask you for identifying information, your credit and FICO score, proof of assets and employment, and more. Within three days of filling out an application, you should receive a three-page document called a loan estimate outlining whether the mortgage has been pre-approved and the terms of the loans, along with other information.
